Bala-Calfa was designed after years of struggling to keep newborn calves ears from freezing during winter calving. It is a neoprene hood, designed to fit snuggly on the calf’s head & neck to utilize body heat to keep ears warm. Neoprene is very flexible & stretchy to maximize comfort & fit. It is also waterproof which helps protect the calves ears from becoming wet & then freezing when the cow licks them. Features a 1.5 inch heavy Velcro strap to ensure the hood does not move or twist. Available in 3 sizes, the Bala-Calfa will fit all size & breed of calves.

Please note:
- These hoods work great to provide quick & easy protection on brand new wet babies, but the hoods should be removed to allow the calf to dry once there is an opportunity to move them into a warmer, dry location.
- if you are keeping the Bala-Calfa on for more than a day, double check the Velcro is snug.
